Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ 1

What is telehealth therapy?

Telehealth therapy is mental health counseling provided through secure video or phone sessions, allowing you to connect with your therapist from the comfort and privacy of your own home.

FAQ 2

Is telehealth therapy effective?

Yes. Research shows that telehealth therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy for many mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related conditions. It also offers greater accessibility and flexibility.

FAQ 3

How do I join a session?

You will receive a secure link via email or text before your session. Simply click the link at your scheduled time to join. No downloads or accounts are required in most cases.

FAQ 4

Is telehealth therapy private and secure?

Absolutely. Your confidentiality is a top priority. We use secure, encrypted platforms that meet HIPAA regulations to ensure your information and sessions remain protected.

FAQ 5

What issues can be addressed through telehealth?

Telehealth is effective for many concerns, including:

  • Anxiety and panic
  • Depression
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Grief and loss
  • Relationship and family issues
  • Stress and burnout
  • Life transitions and self-esteem

FAQ 6

Do you offer therapy for couples via telehealth?

Yes. Telehealth can be adapted for Couples therapy

FAQ 7

Will my insurance cover telehealth therapy?

Many insurance plans now cover telehealth services, often at the same rate as in-person sessions. We recommend checking with your insurance provider to confirm your coverage. We’re happy to help with verification if needed.

FAQ 8

What if I have technical issues during a session?

Technology can be tricky sometimes, and that’s okay. If something goes wrong during your session (like a dropped call or internet issue), we’ll reconnect as quickly as possible or finish the session by phone if needed.

FAQ 9

Can I switch to in-person therapy later?

At Caring Space, PLLC, we currently offer therapy online only. If your needs change or you’re seeking in-person care, we can help guide you to local resources or providers.

How do I schedule or cancel an appointment?

You can schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments by:

  • Logging into our secure client portal
  • Emailing or calling your therapist directly

Please give at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations to avoid a late fee.
